Conocemos casos de marcas que recurren deliberadamente a la mala ortograf\u00eda y eso, lejos de afectarles, para ayudarles a <\/span><b>posicionarse en la mente de los consumidores<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Tal es el caso de productos como <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Froot Loops<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cheez Whiz<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> o <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cheez-It<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; compa\u00f1\u00edas como \u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chick-Fil-A<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flickr<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tumblr<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> o el <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SyFy Chanel<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, o incluso bandas como <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Led Zeppelin<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Megadeth <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lynyrd Skynyrd<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfLa mala ortograf\u00eda como herramienta para el \u00e9xito? <\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De acuerdo con la catedr\u00e1tica de la Escuela de Negocios de la Universidad de Pittsburgh, Vanita Swaminathan, una forma de que las marcas sean <\/span><b>recordadas por el consumidor <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">es a trav\u00e9s de cambios ligeros en la ortograf\u00eda o en la puntuaci\u00f3n del nombre; esto provoca que la forma en que est\u00e1 escrito ayude a que se distinga del resto. Por su parte, Sanjay Wood, Catedr\u00e1tico de la Escuela de Administraci\u00f3n de UCLA menciona tres puntos esenciales a tomar en consideraci\u00f3n para que una marca resalte: que sea memorable, que sea significativo y que sea protegible. \u00bfQu\u00e9 significa esto? Que un nombre pueda ser f\u00e1cilmente identificado y recordado debido a la forma en que est\u00e1 escrito, a veces gracias a la mala ortograf\u00eda; que ese nombre sea representativo del producto en cuesti\u00f3n y, finalmente, que sea lo suficientemente distinto como para poder protegerse legalmente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un punto importante que los expertos se\u00f1alan, sin embargo, es que el nombre que tenga mala ortograf\u00eda o puntuaci\u00f3n singular sea diferente, pero que no sea demasiado diferente. Desde el punto de visto psicol\u00f3gico, un nombre distinto resulta atractivo siempre que quede dentro de cierto grado de incongruencia, pero si ese l\u00edmite se rebasa, entonces el efecto contrario suceder\u00e1 y el nombre pasar\u00e1 a ser falto de relevancia para la mente del consumidor. Podemos se\u00f1alar, por ejemplo, <\/span><b>iPod<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>iPhone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y toda una familia de productos <\/span><b>Apple<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, cuya escritura deliberadamente err\u00f3nea, desde el punto de vista ortogr\u00e1fico, ha ayudado a crear identidad de la marca entre el p\u00fablico. Lejos de ser contraproducente, la escasa cantidad de incongruencia gramatical ayuda a que la gente identifique y recuerde, precisamente, gracias a la mala ortograf\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entonces, la pr\u00f3xima vez que veas una marca o nombre de compa\u00f1\u00eda cuya mala ortograf\u00eda resalte, preg\u00fantate realmente qu\u00e9 est\u00e1 pasando ah\u00ed y el proceso por el que la marca pas\u00f3 para llegar a ese nombre.
